How long is the wait?
Non-contributory parent visas are capped and queued. The wait can be many years, often much longer than for contributory parent visas.
Can I change to a contributory visa later?
Usually yes. You can apply for a contributory parent visa and keep your place in the processing order in some cases. We can advise on the best time to switch.
